Name: Basket. Squarish, pliable body. Of woven split palm leaf. Edge stitched with split bark. Corners ornamented with tufts of colored cotton. A small basket such as this, is attached at the side so as to rest against the hip. Usually it is used at planting time to hold seed rice, but often it serves as a receptacle for the trinkets, betel nut outfit, and other things needed by a woman on the trail.
