Name: L?as:- Wild chicken snare and carrying case: l?bban. The snare consists of a number of rattan slip nooses which are attached to a plaited band. These are held upright by means of wooden pegs. The snare is placed so as to form a hollow square or circle within which a tame rooster is placed. The snares are set in the jungles and the crowing of the tame fowl attracts the wild birds who come to fight, During the manuevers of the fight the wild bird becomes entangled in the slip nooses and is captured. |
