| Catalog Description | Name: Pamarang:- Large ivory ear plugs made like enormous collar buttons. Fronts are plain but backs have designs cut in. A bead band connects them and passes under the chin. Only men of influence and wealth possesses these ornaments. The ivory used in such ornaments is obtained from Borneo and reaches the Bagabos through trade with the Maguindanao Moros. This specimen was made in Bankas by a People: Bagobo. artist. |
