Description scan of catalog card [FRONT][MAIN BODY] Chicago Natural History Museum—Ethnology | [Field Museum subject code written in red] 34-60 | Provenience: Philippine Islands: Jolo, Jolo Island, Sulu Arch.; or Mindanao I. | People or Culture:Moro | Object: Sword | Material: Metal, pearl. | Description: Swordwith a kris type blade of moderate waves. Blade is damacened its length to match the wave design. At the top of the balde the guard is of a cutout pattern one side being wider than the other. There is a band of reinforcing metal on each side of the guard. The hilt is coveredwith 4 bands of braided wire alternating with bands of plain metal.
