Guard has cutout pattern with one side longer than the other with and each having a metal reinforcing band. Hilt wrapped with alternative bands of braided and twisted twine. Pommel is a 7 facet piece of ivory with a flattop. B- Scabbard is of plain darkwood in 2 sections-one the sheath and the other the guard.
