| Description | Armor vest, water buffalo horn metal. This armored vest was made and used by the Moro peoples on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. The horns of carabao water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis carabanesis) were used to form the plates on this armored vest. Carabaos, which arenative to Southeast Asia, are used as draught animals in agriculture throughout the Philippines. [Facebook caption]. |
