Etta McKenna Photo Scan

Photo of Etta McKenna, 1977.
Taken in Jan 1978 in the parking lot of 1926 W Harrison. First snow in Chicago winter ‘78,

Taken by “my friend, Agnes Clement, while cleaning her car.”

Pictured: “myself cleaning the car” [One woman in cleaning snow off a car]

Notes from Sarah Carlson, in discussion with McKenna: “This reminds me of my first snow in Chicago. I was wearing a parka bought from Woolworth’s on sale. It was a thin parka so one of the first experiences in the cold. Not since I came to Chicago had I felt how cold is ‘cold’! Cleaning my friend’s car, a Chevy Monza.
