An arched piece of wood x is placed in the notch in 1 and to one end is attached a loop 4. To the lower end is fasteneda cord which is attached to the stick c. This stick c rests on the ground at one end and the end is attached to line is raise 8 or 10 inches. A log 3 with its lower end between d and the tree and its upper between 1 and 2 is held up in air by loop 4. Stones and logs are puton end of 3 so when released it falls on logs a and b with force. Weight on c pulls cord at x causing it to slip and 3 to fall. Put in runways. | |
