When g is tense, it draws on 1 which in turn presses against 2 and hold it in place. c, d, e and f, are sticks with one end resting on 2 and the other on the ground. The slip noose is spread on these andbait, corn or rice, put nearby. The weight of a wild chicken or other bird or animal on c, d, e and f causes 2 to be pulled down, thus releasing 1 which allows the branch a to fly up and tighten the slip noose. The sticks X and some leaves are placed about the trap as atconceal it, and to direct the fowl into the trap. | |
