[1115 was crossed out] | [Cursive capital L.] | [BACK] are of different types. The first is of bamboo and is shaped like a spear head. This is for deer and other large game or for use in fights. A second type (not shown here) is of long hard wood point, drill shape, and is used as described. A third is of bamboo but withtwo points and is made specially for birds and fish. A fourth is also double headed but made of iron and has barbs. Three pointed [spe was crossed out] arrows are not uncommon. All these latter are for birds and fish. They are not very effective at a distance. It is saidthat these weapons are not poisoned but the Bila-ans have the reputation of poisoning arrow heads. |
