The simplest, of [flayed] tree bark, is made by the women of Barlig, Talubin, Agaua, and neighboring villages. Others are made of tree cotton, while many are woven from trade materials. A considerable numberof cloths are now secured ready-made from the coast. A large proportion of the men in Bontoc and Samoki use the cloths simply as aprons, suspended from girdles. | |
