They contain the betel nuts, buyo leaves and lime, all of which are necessary to the user of this narcotic. The great majority of the people have the habit ofchewing betel nut. It does not seem to be injurious; on the contrary its effect is said to be the production of abundant saliva, which aids digestion, preserves the teeth, and relieves fatigue.
