Manufacture of Bark Cloth
Small trees are cut down and the bark is beaten with the pounders until it becomes loosened. It is then removed and is split into the desired thickness, after which it is beaten until soft and pliable. It is used chiefly for head bands, belts, and breech clouts. TINGUIAN.
