A large slip-noose is fastened to the end of a pole. The operator conceals himself and his companions drive the pigs or horses, which they wish to catch, toward him. He then attempts to drop the noose over the head of the animal as it runs by. This pole was cut in two for the purpose of shipping. TINGUIAN. Northwestern Luzon, Philippine Islands. Robert F.
