Baskets

The women of this tribe are neither potters nor weavers of cloth, but are nearly all excellent basket makers. The material used is either rattan of bamboo, often combined in a variey of weaves which give a very elegant appearance to the receptacle. The large open baskets are generally used in the rice fields, while the smaller hold the grain after it is brought to the dwellings. APAYAO. Northwestern Luzon, Philippine Islands. Robert F.
