Cannon
The Mohammedanized natives of the Philippines have long understood the casting of brass and bronze. The largest castings made by them are the lantaka, or cannon, of which this is a typical specimen. The decorations on this weapon were doubtlessly copied from the Chinese, the first people of the Orient to make use of gunpowder and cannon. The weight of thisgun is 151 pounds. MORO.
