Hunting Spears
Long spears with detachable heads are used in the capture of deer and pig. The hunters, who are usually mounted, charge the game and attempt to sink the spear head into its body. The metal at once pulls out of the socket, but as it is attached to the shaft with a rope it drags it along through the underbrush, thus impeding its flight. BUKIDNON.
