Leg Bands

Women's lag bands made from the cuticle of fern and orchid stems. These are fashioned by two methods, namely by plaiting and wrapping the narrow bands around central splints. The bands are worn above the calf of the leg and are supposed to aid the possessor during menstruation, also to give her strength when walking. BUKIDNON. North Central Mindanao, Philippine Islands.
