Charmed Sashes
Charmed sashes which are worn about the waist or over the shoulder. The pockets, which are made by slipping rattan rings over sections of the cloth, contain peculiar bits of fungus growth, wood, and stones. The possession of such a sash is supposed to protect the wearer from all harm, especially from enemy weapons. These specimens were taken from the dead body of Dato Manbandohan who was killed while resisting the constabulary. BUKIDNON. North Central Mindanao, Philippine Islands. Robert F. Cummings Expedition.
