Bark Head Bands

BARK HEAD BANDS. The men of Sagada, and other towns near the western border of the Bontoc area, seldom use the pocket hat, but in its place employ a bark band. This passes two or three times about the head and is fastened by tucking the ends in under the band proper. This is the typical head covering of the Tinguian of Abra. BONTOC IGOROT. Robert F.
