The sleeves are bell-shaped and voluminous decorated with varied shapes sewn into the cloth. Aside from the applique, there are also patch works and embroideries. Strips of colored and white cloths are sewn into the garment making it more thick and colorful.

Curved lines dominate. In Bukidnon art, curved lines represent river. One distinct shape is of the pinola leaves which are also present in the male’s upper garment.

The edge of the sleeves and the bottom part of the garment contains chevron, V-shape that indicates the rank of the wearer. The chevron in the garment indicates two-level rank. Their rank indicator is also found in male’s pants (refer to Cole’s collection of garments for male). The edge of the garment reaches just above the waist, exposing a portion of the abdomen. Women either use inner garment or none at all.

Note:

EMBROIDERIES/PATCHWORKS are not done at one time. They are added s the wearer acquire accomplishments. Each accomplishment is worth of a ritual/ The patchwork/embroidery is added to the garment during such ritual. This is the usual time when the chevron is added.
