Name: Lakoñ:- Round bark basket with bottom of vines and rattan. Same in use and construction as 128485. Sides made from single piece of bark, sewed. Bottom is of banana bark- open work. A bark basket, the sides of which are made from a single piece of bark. Such baskets are used for transporting corn, unthreshed rice and the like form the fields. Also used for storage. Fitted with hemp bark carrying bands which pass over the forehead of the woman bearer, who further supports the load on her back. Notes: Fitted with hemp bark carrying band [symbol for female]s. |
