Description: Common Heritage: Homeland Memories was a series of digitization events held at the museum. Members of the Filipina/o community in Chicago were invited to share their immigration experiences in the form of photos, objects, documents and oral storytelling. Co-curators, volunteers, and museum staff made digital records of these items to preserve them for future study and reflection. These events were supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
